Workshop 3: Escaping Realities of Simulation - new trends in simulation teaching

Healthcare simulation is recognised to have numerous benefits as both an effective training and education modality, but increasingly for its significant role within organisational quality and safety initiatives. However, competing organisational demands often mean that the perceived time required to dedicate to hi-fidelity team training opportunities can feel like an insurmountable barrier.

This interactive workshop will showcase several simulation modalities and demonstrate that effective and equitable team-based healthcare simulation can be achieved using low-cost and simple methods, whilst also having the benefits of being time-effective and engaging for participants.

  • Presented by Douglas Starship Simulation Team
