Director Allied Health, Scientific and Technical
The Director of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This role leads and co-ordinates the ongoing strategic development of allied health practice, professional frameworks and opportunities.
Professional leaders provide leadership for a single professional of allied health professionals (eg speech language therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, play specialists, dietitians, audiologists) within the Auckland District Health Board including Starship.
Practice supervisors provide leadership, advice to management, and clinical supervision of a designated team of allied health staff. Most professional groups have a practice supervisor.
The team leader provides leadership and management for a team of staff, including allied health staff, to ensure that agreed service outcomes and contracts are met.
