Starship Newborn Intensive Care Unit is in the process of developing an app as an option for parents to use when recording their child's journey through NICU. The main feature is an on-line journal, and there is also the ability to record breastfeeding and expressing. At this stage the app is available via the Google Play Store for Android users only. Once the final user feedback has been collected, the app will also be made available for iphones.
The Auckland DHB provides NICUApp as a free app.
This page is to inform users of the app of ADHB’s policies as to collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. While we have no access to the information you hold within the app on your device, but we may require limited personal information from you to provide and improve NICUApp. We will not use or share this information with any third party one other than as set out below.
Specifically, NICUApp integrates third party services that may collect information, for example log data. Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app, the time and date of your use of the Service and other statistics, and service providers then inform ADHB as to the number of users of the app, their characteristics, and where they come from. This information is not held by ADHB in a personally identifiable form.
