To reduce the risk of SUDI infants under two years of age must:

  • sleep face up

  • sleep with face clear

  • be smokefree

  • Ensure your child is always in its own safe sleeping space

  • Infants should be on their back to sleep

  • Children under two years of age must be in a cot

  • Always keep cot sides up

  • Keep the cot clear of toys

  • Do not use pillows for children under the age of one year

  • Do not sleep in the same bed as your child

  • Do not leave your child in a stroller or car seat to sleep
