Māori Content Producer
For Māori, storytelling has long been a way of sharing our knowledge. Our culture is passed on through storytelling and our whakapapa is gifted to us through storytelling.
We can learn through the experiences of others, which is why we’re looking for someone who has a creative eye, to capture our people’s stories through video.

We’re looking for a person with prior experience or the ability to develop digital content for Safekids’ social media and other digital platforms. A person with an established or developing creative practice and skills in one or more of the following:
contributing to the development of creative concepts
creating storyboards an production plans for video content
post production and editing through to content approval
You'll work closely and collaboratively with Safekids Aotearoa staff and contractors with responsibility for communications, community engagement, policy and analysis.
It is desirable if you have at least an intermediate level of fluency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga. You should be familiar and comfortable in accessing and using translation resources.
It is a contract position and we need you to bring your own gear and invoice Safekids for your services. This will include:
microphones and lighting
We can discuss options if you do not currently own your own equipment.
Note: we will include the Vulnerable Children's Act mandatory child vetting questions when we interview shortlisted candidates.
