Team Support - Respiratory & Rheumatology, Starship Child Health

Applications are invited for the part time position of the Team Support role in the Respiratory and Rheumatology services at Starship Children’s Hospital (0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week). You will join our dedicated multidisciplinary teams who provide high quality care and treatment to infants, children, adolescents and their families who are inpatients and outpatients of Starship Hospital.

Starship Children’s Hospital is the leading provider of paediatric care in New Zealand and the South Pacific, providing world-class inpatient, outpatient, trauma, emergency, and urgent care to children and their whānau. As the Team Support you will work with a very busy and friendly team of doctors, nurse specialists, physiologists, physios, and occupational therapists. You will take charge of the day to day management of administration processes, data entry and audit support, and undertake a full range of administrative duties as required by the service.

To be successful you will have a “can do” attitude, proven administrative experience, demonstrate attention to detail, possess strong organisational skills with innovative problem solving, and thrive in a busy work environment where you are not fazed by interruptions. You will be flexible, have excellent communication skills, and at least intermediate ability in using Microsoft applications. Previous experience in a hospital environment is an advantage, and previous use of computer applications such as Concerto, Oracle, and Workforce Central.
