We are seeking a Senior Medical Specialist to join the Starship Blood and Cancer Centre and actively contribute to the development of Paediatric Haematology/ Oncology across the country .

Starship Child Health is the leading provider of paediatric health care in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and the South Pacific, delivering whānau centred care to infants, children, young people and their whānau (family) in hospital and in the community.
The Starship Blood and Cancer Centre provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and long term follow-up for children and adolescents with cancer and non-malignant haematological conditions. Our service also provides a comprehensive Haemopoietic Stem Cell Transplant service for New Zealand, for a range of malignant and non-malignant conditions.
As our multi-disciplinary service continues to grow so does our workforce and we now have an opportunity for a full time senior medical specialist to join the team as our newest Paediatric Oncologist. This is a full-time position where you will bring your strong clinical background and level of expertise to provide premium specialist paediatric haematology/ oncology care to children and whānau.

Are a Specialist Paediatrician with sub-speciality training in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology
Demonstrate effective communication/ interpersonal skills to form working relationships with colleagues, children and whānau
Have strong skills in medical education
