Join our dedicated multidisciplinary teams across Starship Child Health.
We have a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist role (0.6 FTE) working with the Starship multidisciplinary Paediatric Consult Liaison and Palliative Care teams. The successful applicant will join our dedicated services in providing high quality child and adolescent mental health care to infants, children, adolescents and their families/ whānau who are inpatients and tertiary outpatients of Starship Hospital.
Starship Child Health is the only comprehensive children’s hospital in the country serving a population of approximately 1 million children. As a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist you will participate in all aspects of our clinical service, teaching, and quality improvement and assurance activities. There are opportunities for clinical research and collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Auckland.
You will be a registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, hold the equivalent of a Diploma Clinical Child Psychotherapy or Masters in Health Science (Clinical Child Psychotherapy), and have experience in working with children and adolescents with mental health conditions. You will have an interest in working collaboratively with paediatric medical and surgical services to improve the well-being of young people with a wide range of health conditions including life limiting conditions.
