Porn and Young People: The New Landscape in Aotearoa

Presenter: Dr Jo Robertson, The Light Project

The Light Project is a charitable trust founded in 2017 by a small team of sexual and public health experts. The project is a pilot project that aims to help youth, their whānau, schools and wider communities to positively navigate the new porn landscape in Aotearoa.

Jo Robertson (Training and Research Lead) has worked as an external sex education provider and as a youth counsellor for trauma and abuse cases in Primary, Intermediate and Secondary schools. She is a qualified sex therapist and has just completed her MScMed with a focus on 'the consumption rates and impacts of porn on adolescents’. She has a private practice working with couples with problematic sexual behaviour, and relationship breakdown related
to sexual dysfunction.
