Radiology Procedural Techniques Disclaimer
The Starship Radiology Procedural Techniques have been written for use at Starship Children's Health which includes a tertiary children's hospital with senior staff in the Emergency Department and PICU on-site. They are based on the specific imaging equipment currently in use at Starship Children's Health. We are happy to make these protocols accessible for use at other institutions.
While great care has been taken to see that the information in this section is accurate, the user is advised to check drug doses before administering, and compatible patient devices such as ports or cardiac devices for their MR machine carefully. If there is any uncertainty about the guidance provided, you should seek local advice.
No set of protocols can cover all variations required for specific patient circumstances. It is the responsibility of the health care practitioners using these protocols to adapt them for safe use within their institutions and for the individual needs of patients.
