If metal in situ, considering using DE Hip Spica Monoenergetic Protocol

Indication - post osteotomy
- DDH
- after MUA
- Arthrogram to check hip position
Patient Position - feet first
- supine
- pillows under head and body
- strap across pelvis and knees

A caregiver is able to stay and help secure patient from movement. On larger patients it is advisable to have a trial run of the patient through the scanner to check width of hip spica in relation to the gantry width.
