Valued Trust & Foundation Supporters for 2008
This year the Mattel Foundation made a grant of US$25,000 to fund eight VPAP (Variable Positive Airway Pressure) machines for Starship. This is the second year Mattel have made a grant to Starship and we are extremely grateful for their ongoing support. The VPAP machines will help children who have trouble breathing by controlling their respiration and reducing the stress on their lungs.
Mattel also generously assists Starship locally by donating toys and games to the hospital. Fundraising Director Bobbie Brown says, "It's exciting to think that Mattel, which has been affiliated with making children happy through toys for so many years, is now able to provide for children's health as well through grants like this”.
