We're on the lookout for kind-hearted human beings to show they care for New Zealand children. We need your help to collect donations in your city and town centre on Starship Foundation Appeal Day on Friday 11th April 2008 to raise funds for the Starship national air retrieval service. So come on, get caught up in the magic of Starship.
What is required to be a Volunteer Collector?
Collect for an hour or two at a specific time and place near your home, school or workplace as agreed with your Area Co-ordinator/Team Leader.
Collection points include outside supermarkets, in malls and on main shopping/business streets.
You'll be given an Official Street Collector vest to wear as well as a collection bucket and magnetic badges and balloons to give to people who've donated.
Please ask your family, friends, colleagues and anyone else you think may be interested in volunteering for Starship Foundation's Street Appeal.

What is required to be an Area Coordinator or Team Leader?
We also need people who are willing to be Team Leaders or Area Coordinators to manage teams of volunteers in their area.

What are we fundraising for?
Funds raised from the Street Appeal will be used to boost the Starship national air retrieval service – where Starship's top medical experts are rushed to life-threatening emergencies around the country.
A new Transport Ventilator is specifically needed to transfer the most critically-ill newborn babies from around New Zealand to Starship for lifesaving care. The ventilator will be a vital part of a new transport system for air and road emergency retrievals.
